About this role
Request, organise, compare, analyse, and prepare reports for quotations received; In charge of the purchase of construction materials and rental of equipment as instructed and requests, including getting quotations and ensuring the price for the materials / equipment is competitive and within the project budget; Track the progress of delivery and quality of materials in accordance with the construction schedule to prevent delays; Assist in the tendering process; Assist in the progress claims and payment cert for Sub-Contractors; Taking off and any calculation as required; Assist the Project manager as well as direct supervisors in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval; Attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements when requested; Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules when required; Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team; Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner; Understands the project plans, specifications and explain plans and contract terms to all general workers, and/or clients when need to; Monitor and control all sub-contractors’ and Project’s budget status; Maintains positive relationships with Client, Architects, Consultants, Authorities, all Contractors, suppliers and any other relevant personnel; Maintains an organized and safe work place; Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others; Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations and report to PM daily on site status; Any other tasks and duties as instructed by the management.
