We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Architect to work closely with client technical architects, squad leads, and systems analysts to shape, review, and govern the end‑to‑end architecture across digital banking platforms (retail and commercial) and payments channels. This role is critical to ensuring that new initiatives and ongoing engagements are well‑architected, secure, scalable, and aligned to enterprise architecture principles, while being deliverable within an agile, product‑centric delivery model. The architect will be actively engaged across solution design, architecture reviews, technology choices, and design assurance, acting as a bridge between business intent, domain architecture, and delivery execution. Key Responsibilities: Work with domain and enterprise architects to understand and align with target‑state architecture for: Retail and commercial digital banking platforms (e.g., internet banking, mobile, digital channels). Payments and transaction banking platforms (e.g., cash management, real‑time payments, APIs, channels integration). Collaborate with squad leads, systems analysts, and product owners to translate business and functional requirements into robust solution architectures. Provide hands‑on architecture guidance covering: Application and integration architecture. API and microservices design. Security, resiliency, performance, and scalability. Review and approve solution designs for new engagements, change requests, and enhancements, ensuring alignment to: Enterprise architectural principles. Non‑functional requirements. Regulatory and security expectations. Perform ongoing architectural assurance for in‑flight programs, identifying and addressing design risks, technical debt, and deviations. Support pre‑sales and solutioning activities, including technical due diligence, solution shaping, and estimation inputs. Act as a technical advisor to both client stakeholders and internal delivery teams, enabling faster, higher‑quality decision‑making. Required Experience & Skills: Proven track record in banking technology architecture, with deep exposure to digital banking and payments environments. Experience working in large-scale banking or financial services environments with complex digital banking and payments platforms. Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of digital channels architecture (retail & corporate), payments platforms, transaction banking, channel integrations, and API-led/microservices-based architectures. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on architecture experience in Java / Spring ecosystems, distributed systems, and integration patterns. Apache Camel Specialization: Subject matter expertise in Camel 2 and later versions, with practical experience or strong knowledge in version 4 and migrating legacy systems from Camel 2 to 4. Architecture Quality: Deep understanding of non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, performance, and scalability. Delivery Models: Proven track record operating within agile/product-centric delivery models and comfortable navigating onshore–offshore delivery setups.
