Assistant Project Engineer/ Project Engineer

Responsibilities: Assist Project Manager in the planning, design and day-to-day running of foundation/geotechnical engineering projects. Preparation of design calculations and technical drawings for the projects. Determine operation requirements and to assist Project Manager in preparing project schedule. Ensure timely delivery of projects according to schedule. Updating of project records for reporting purposes and submission of reports. Attend site meetings and resolve technical/operational issues independently. Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by Project Manager related to project execution. Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP), and relevant quality checklists. Conduct pre-inspections of work and witness tests to ensure compliance with project specifications, method statements, and contract requirements. Compile and submit all QA/QC documents, inspection reports, test results, and other quality records. Address quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances. Liaise with the client, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders for the execution of works. Requirements: Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a PE Board recognized university Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and have a passion in foundation/ geotechnical engineering works Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude Meticulous, organised and proactive Willing to work on construction sites and prepared to travel across different construction sites to monitor progress of different projects when required Able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
