Fleet Director (Tankers)

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the overall performance of the tanker fleet, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency Oversee technical operations, including maintenance, dry-docking, and vessel inspections Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, OCIMF, ISM, MARPOL) and vetting requirements Manage and guide Technical Superintendents and fleet teams to achieve operational excellence Monitor vessel performance, budgets, and cost control initiatives Drive continuous improvement in HSSEQ standards and best practices Support incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to optimize fleet utilization Engage with external stakeholders including owners, class societies, and authorities Requirements Chief Engineer (Class 1) or Marine Engineering degree or equivalent Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience, including shore-based tanker fleet management Proven experience managing tanker vessels (oil/chemical/product tankers) Strong knowledge of OCIMF/SIRE, ISM, MARPOL, and classification requirements Leadership experience managing teams and multiple vessels Strong commercial awareness and cost management capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
