The centre focuses on delivering high-quality, personalised eye care, covering procedures such as LASIK, LASEK, PRK, ICL, and bladeless femtosecond laser cataract surgery, as well as treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. Dr Lim’s background includes consultant experience at Singapore National Eye Centre and advanced fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Role Description The Optometrist will work full time on-site at Dr Natasha Lim Eye Centre in Singapore, providing comprehensive clinical support to the ophthalmologist and care team. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing detailed eye examinations, conducting refractions, assessing visual function, and assisting in pre- and post-operative evaluations for laser vision correction, cataract surgery and other eye disease patients. The role involves using diagnostic equipment (such as OCT, topography, biometry, and visual field analyzers), documenting clinical findings accurately, and educating patients on eye conditions, treatment options, and post-procedure care. The Optometrist will collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic flow, high-quality patient experiences, and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. Participation in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and refinement of practice procedures is expected. Qualifications Professional optometry qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Optometry) and current OOB registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant optometry board or council. Basic clinical optometry skills, including refraction, contact lens fitting and understanding of common ocular conditions. We provide training in operating and interpreting results from diagnostic devices such as OCT, corneal topography, biometry, pachymetry, and visual field analyzers. Excellent patient communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings clearly, provide education on eye health, and support informed decision-making. Attention to detail in clinical documentation, adherence to evidence-based protocols, and commitment to infection control and patient safety. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced specialist clinic, collaborating with 4 other optometrists, 2 ophthalmologists, day surgery nurses, and administrative staff.
