About this role

We have partnered with an established financial services institution in Singapore to look for a high-caliber architecture professional. In this role, you will drive the strategic technology blueprint for our client's global trading, financial markets business. This is a permanent, onsite position based in Singapore, offering the chance to spearhead a major digital transformation across the trading lifecycle. Responsibilities You will be responsible for designing resilient, high-performance architectures that support end-to-end trading operations, from trade execution through to risk, settlement, and accounting. Design and execute the long-term technical architecture for capital markets and treasury platforms, covering order management, execution workflows, live pricing services, and downstream ledger integrations. Establish reference designs for low-latency trading channels, market data ingestion, exchange connectivity, and automated straight-through processing. Author comprehensive architectural artifacts, including data models, sequence diagrams, deployment topologies, and non-functional requirements across application and infrastructure layers. Align individual platform designs with broader enterprise blueprints, proactively identifying technical debt and managing architectural deviations through governance forums. Act as a critical bridge between business units and delivery teams, partnering closely with engineers and data scientists to ensure best practices in data quality, observability, and system resilience. Requirements At least 8 years of dedicated experience in Enterprise or Solutions Architecture within a complex financial services environment. Deep knowledge in one or more treasury and capital markets domains, including asset classes like FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, or Equities, alongside hands-on understanding of pricing analytics, risk metrics, liquidity management, or post-trade processing. Proven track record with cloud-native architectures and modern backend technologies, including microservices, containerisation, real-time messaging pipelines, caching layers, and robust database systems. Familiarity with high-reliability environments, market connectivity protocols, and front-to-back office automated workflows. Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management capabilities, with a proactive approach to solving complex engineering challenges independently.
