Role Summary: EDP APAC is seeking a strategic and commercially minded communications professional who combines excellent execution with strong collaborative team spirit to lead external communications across the Asia-Pacific region. Based at our regional headquarters in Singapore, the Communications Specialist leads EDP APAC's media relations and executive communications, playing a central role in strengthening and protecting the company's corporate reputation. The role also supports strategic global communications campaigns and corporate events. The successful candidate will work closely with senior executives, country leadership teams and colleagues across the business in a global matrix organisation to shape and communicate clear, compelling narratives for external audiences. This is an individual contributor role requiring sound judgement, strong business acumen and the ability to operate across varied markets, cultures and stakeholder environments. Responsibilities: External Communications Strategy and Execution Support the development of EDP APAC's integrated external communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and EDP Group's global positioning. Lead the communications planning and execution for key corporate milestones, including global campaign rollouts, project commissioning and strategic partnerships. Media Relations Lead media relations across APAC with business, energy, infrastructure, sustainability and mainstream media, with market coverage on Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Work with external agencies where required, setting clear priorities and coordinating to ensure quality delivery. Corporate and Key Executive Communications Lead the development of corporate communications materials. Support the external profiling of APAC senior executives through media engagement, speaking opportunities and strategic content. Cross-Functional and Cross-Border Collaboration Work closely with colleagues across Global Communications (external, internal and digital), Brand, Government Affairs, Stakeholders Management, Social Impact, and People & Organisation to adapt campaigns to deliver integrated external communications. Requirements: 4-6 years of relevant experience in corporate public relations. Demonstrated experience leading external communications across multiple markets. Media relations experience in Australia would be a strong advantage. Strong news judgement and a clear understanding of what makes a relevant external story, with experience managing reputational risks and crisis communications. Proven stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to align colleagues across functions and markets to achieve communications goals. Experience in renewable energy, energy, infrastructure, sustainability, utilities or another highly regulated sector would be an advantage. Substantial in-house corporate communications experience is relevant, although corporate PR agency experience is preferred.
