Job Description · We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist/Production Support to join the Production Services Team and support critical systems used by the International Wealth Management (IWM) Division. · The role involves providing production application and system support, handling incident, problem, and change management, and ensuring that requests from front-to-back IWM users are managed effectively and efficiently. · The successful candidate will identify the root causes of system issues, provide solutions or workarounds, and coordinate with vendors and development teams when required. · Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills are essential. · Knowledge of the Avaloq Banking System will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities:: · Provide daily application and system support to the IWM business on rotational shifts (7:00 AM–4:00 PM / 9:00 AM–6:00 PM), including on-call support and managing the IWM IT Helpdesk. · Maintain the performance, stability, and availability of the production environment. · Monitor critical system components, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide appropriate solutions or workarounds. · Work closely with business users to ensure production incidents are resolved promptly and appropriate remedial actions are implemented. · Coordinate with infrastructure teams, development teams, and vendors on system upgrades, release management, and change implementation. · Manage and track production issues and conduct incident post-mortem reviews to mitigate root causes. · Provide UAT support and manage production rollouts for both BAU changes and projects. · Collaborate with regional IT teams and cross-functional IT business units to maintain effective upstream and downstream processing. · Participate in business continuity planning, exercises, and regional or global projects. Requirements · University degree with a minimum of 3 years of application support experience within a banking or financial institution. · Experience supporting Wealth Management, Order Management (OMS), or Execution Management Systems (EMS). · Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, MSSQL, UNIX, and Windows operating environments. · Strong experience supporting UNIX-based applications, including shell scripting and automation. · Experience with job scheduling systems, preferably AutoSys. · Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Avaloq, MarginMan, or AWS. · Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure. · Self-motivated, responsible, reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies. · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels. Preferred Qualifications & Skills:: · Completed Avaloq Certification or Training. · ITIL v3 certification or equivalent qualification. · Knowledge of market data, financial models, and the FIX Protocol. · Understanding of cloud operations, microservices, Python/Perl scripting, and Microsoft Excel. · Basic financial knowledge of Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets (MM), Equities, Derivatives, and associated front-to-back operational workflows."
