Software Application Test Automation Engineer

As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the end-to-end quality engineering function for our client's testing products and solutions, with a strong focus on automation to improve control, accuracy, and integrity across the software delivery lifecycle. You will act as a subject matter expert, collaborating across teams to shape testing strategy, manage defects, and champion quality throughout the development process. Responsibilities Develop and implement automated testing strategies to enhance product quality and efficiency Design comprehensive test strategies and test plans covering functional, regression, and automation coverage Own defect management end-to-end — logging, triaging, root cause analysis, and driving resolution with development teams Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve testing processes and product performance Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (development, product, business stakeholders) to ensure seamless integration of automation within the development lifecycle Act as a quality advocate, communicating testing status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and proposing innovative solutions in testing practices Take ownership of team decisions and contribute to key technical and process decisions Mentor and guide team members to build expertise in automation tools and quality engineering methodologies (optional) Requirements Intermediate proficiency in Technical Test Execution Advanced proficiency in System Defect Management Strong experience in test strategy and planning Solid background in defect management and root cause analysis Excellent stakeholder communication skills with a proven ability to advocate for quality across teams Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a good to have Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert while collaborating effectively across multiple teams Top Skills Test strategy and planning Defect management and root cause analysis Stakeholder communication and quality advocacy Test automation (good to have)
