Accounting Manager (Cost Control / Manufacturing / Office Hours)

Work location: North Work schedule: 5 days’ work week (Mon – Fri), standard office hours Key Responsibilities: Oversee cost accounting activities, including month-end close, inventory reconciliation, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Analyse manufacturing costs, product margins, inventory movements, and operational variances to identify improvement opportunities. Partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to enhance inventory accuracy, cost control, and operational efficiency. Support inventory management activities, including stock counts, inventory reviews, and compliance with internal controls. Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations to management. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by preparing cost analyses and business performance reports. Participate in business reviews and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and audit requirements. Drive continuous process improvements across cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting processes. Support finance-related projects, system enhancements, and process optimisation initiatives. Key Requirements: Min. Degree in Accounting, Finance Management or possess ACCA Min 6-8 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with data visualization tools is an advantage.
