Motion Graphics Specialist Role Overview The Motion Graphics Specialist is responsible for conceptualising, designing, and producing engaging motion graphics, animations, and visual effects that enhance storytelling across digital, broadcast, social media, and multimedia productions. Working closely with producers, videographers, editors, designers, and account teams, the role transforms complex ideas into compelling visual narratives that effectively communicate Government messages and public campaigns. The role also drives innovation by incorporating AI-powered creative tools, emerging animation techniques, and evolving digital workflows to improve production quality, efficiency, and creative possibilities. Key Responsibilities Motion Graphics& Animation Design and produce high-quality 2D motion graphics, kinetic typography, animated infographics, logo animations, and title sequences. Develop visual assets for social media, television, digital platforms, events, websites, and large-format displays. Create engaging explainer videos and animated content to simplify complex information into accessible visual stories. Produce animated lower thirds, transitions, broadcast graphics, opening sequences, and branded visual packages. Design custom visual effects and compositing elements to enhance video productions. Creative Development Translate creative briefs into compelling visual concepts and animation styles. Develop storyboards, style frames, mood boards, and animation concepts during pre-production. Ensure consistency with client branding guidelines while maintaining creative excellence. Contribute innovative visual ideas during brainstorming sessions and creative development. Video Production Support Work closely with video editors to integrate motion graphics seamlessly into productions. Optimise graphics for multiple formats for Social Media Platforms, Vertical videos, Digital Displays, Events and Presentations. AI & Emerging Technologies Explore and integrate AI-powered animation and design tools into production workflows. Leverage generative AI for concept visualisation, asset generation, animation assistance, and workflow automation. Evaluate emerging technologies that improve efficiency while maintaining creative quality. Recommend new techniques, software, and best practices to continuously enhance EVOLV's creative capabilities. Brand & VisualDesign Maintain high standards of typography, colour, layout, timing, and visual composition. Ensure all graphics adhere to brand identity and accessibility requirements. Create reusable graphic templates, animation toolkits, and design systems to improve consistency across projects. Collaboration& Project Delivery Work collaboratively with producers, account managers, editors, designers, and videographers throughout the production lifecycle. Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Present animation concepts and creative rationale to internal teams and clients where required. Participate in production planning to ensure graphics requirements are identified early. Quality Assurance Review animations for technical accuracy, visual consistency, and creative quality. Optimise animation files for efficient rendering and delivery across different platforms. Maintain organised project files, asset libraries, and documentation. Ensure deliverables meet broadcast and digital platform technical specifications. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, or a related discipline. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in motion graphics, animation, or multimedia production. Strong portfolio demonstrating creative motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling. Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and generative AI workflows is highly desirable. Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, typography, composition, and colour theory.
