Staff Nurse, Day Surgery

Job Description Provide safe and quality peri-operative nursing care and services in the Day Surgery Ward including deputizing duties, in accordance to established hospital policies and procedures, standard of nursing care and practices. Key Responsibilities To assess, plan, implement and evaluate peri-anaesthesia patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcome. To ensure the care and maintenance of AU machine and equipment are functioning prior administration of anaesthesia to the patient. To demonstrate good and competent clinical skills, knowledge and critical thinking in the delivery of quality nursing skills. To participate in the care an maintenance of specialized, ensuring an agreed standard of decontamination/disinfection at all times including accurate record of traceability of all equipment. To collaborate with anaesthetists and other healthcare providers in the anaesthesia unit in order to deliver safe and high standard care To assist in day surgery cases and other minor surgery cases. Requirements Minimum Diploma in Nursing or equivalent. Candidates with Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent will have an advantage. A meticulous and analytical team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. At least 1 year of clinical experience preferably in Perioperative / Peri-anesthesia or equivalent.
