Software Developer (Java)

About the Company Our client is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the transport and infrastructure sector. Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Software Developer (Java) to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. Develop C++ applications for embedded systems (Linux/Windows); Integrate hardware interfaces (e.g. serial, network, Bluetooth); Build backend services using Java and Spring Boot; Develop REST APIs and manage databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle); Troubleshoot system issues and support deployments; Work with cross-functional teams in Agile setup. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; At least 3–5 years of experience in embedded or backend development; Proficient in C++, Java, REST APIs, and relational databases; Familiar with Agile methods and tools like JIRA; Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; Clear communication and team player mindset; Able to work independently and handle challenges. Employment Details This role is located in East Singapore; Hybrid work arrangement; Occasional travel within Singapore required.
