About this role

Role Purpose: The Assistant Manager (Community Engagement) supports the development and coordination of volunteer programmes that mobilise community stakeholders, corporate partners and volunteers to contribute to Filos’ community initiatives. The role plays a key part in building a strong ecosystem of volunteers supporting programmes for those in need, including but not limited to seniors, families, children and individuals with mental health conditions It also supports the development of partnerships and community engagement initiatives that contribute to resource mobilisation and fundraising efforts. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, corporate and school partners. Serve as the main point of contact to align goals, expectations, and collaboration outcomes. Identify and develop new partnership opportunities to strengthen the ecosystem. Facilitate regular engagement touchpoints (e.g. meetings, networking sessions, joint initiatives). Manage stakeholder communications and ensure timely follow-ups. Identify and cultivate corporate/community partners for CSR collaborations, sponsorships and giving opportunities. Build and track a pipeline of partners and donors, including co-developing proposals and engagement strategies with internal teams. Volunteer Management Design and implement volunteer management strategies aligned with organisational and town needs. Oversee onboarding, training and retention of volunteers. Match volunteers to suitable roles across programmes and partner organisations. Track volunteer engagement, satisfaction, and impact metrics, and prepare relevant reports for stakeholders. Develop initiatives to recognise and retain volunteers, including, but not limited to, volunteer leadership development and volunteer appreciation initiatives. Event Management Plan and execute events such as outreach activities, networking sessions and community initiatives. Work with partners and volunteers to deliver meaningful and well-run events. Manage event timelines, budgets and post-event evaluation. Gather and analyse insights and feedback to improve future engagement. Integrate fundraising elements into events (e.g. donation drives, sponsorship packages). Co-create partner engagement opportunities that generate both impact and funding support. Strategic Planning and Leadership Work with Head of Department to develop and execute organisational and programme strategies. Identify trends, gaps and opportunities within the community and social service landscape. Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and initiatives. Monitor progress against key goals and adjust strategies where needed. Prepare insights and data to inform decision-making. Contribute to strategies that support organisational fundraising, donor development and long-term sustainability. Requirements: Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Social Work or related field. Experience Assistant Manager: 6 – 8 years’ relevant experience in the social service sector/ stakeholder management. Experience working with stakeholders, including but not limited to corporate partners and community groups. Experience in event management. Prior leadership experience is an advantage.
