Senior Software Engineer – Unity3D (Game Development) About the Company Our client is a Singapore-based game studio on a mission to craft casual mobile games that spread joy and deliver deeply immersive player experiences. As a founding-stage studio, they are building their technical team from the ground up and looking for ambitious engineers to shape their game development capabilities. Job Description Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Unity3D expertise to join their founding team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining their mobile casual games while establishing technical standards and best practices as they scale. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain project code for game features using Unity3D Identify potential technical risks and provide technical advice for mitigation Contribute to the development of tools and pipelines to improve project efficiency Work closely with the product team to meet project milestones and deadlines Provide input to improve coding standards, best practices, and development processes Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability Create and maintain technical documentation for code, systems, tools, and processes Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field from a top 50 global university (including National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, or equivalent) Minimum 5 years of professional experience in game development with strong focus on Unity3D Strong proficiency in C# programming language Solid understanding of game architecture, design patterns, and software engineering principles Proficiency in version control systems such as Git for collaborative development Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and debugging skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Genuine passion for gaming, especially casual mobile games High level of resourcefulness and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Previous experience developing, shipping, and operating commercially successful Android and iOS mobile game titles Knowledge of shader programming languages such as High-Level Shading Language (HLSL) and experience creating custom shaders Understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines Benefits Supportive learning environment with focus on professional development Well-being and personal growth initiatives Opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a growing game studio Impactful work in Singapore's growing gaming industry Founding team member opportunity with significant influence on studio culture and technical direction
