Role Overview The Assistant Financial Controller reports directly to the Group Senior Financial Controller and plays a key role in supporting the formulation and execution of the Group’s overall financial strategy. This position provides leadership across finance operations, financial reporting, compliance, and stakeholder management, while delivering timely financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Report directly to the Group Senior Financial Controller and support Group-level financial strategy, planning, and decision-making processes. • Lead the Finance Department’s day-to-day operations, including process improvements, system enhancements, and the strengthening of internal controls. • Oversee the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and management accounts to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance. • Prepare and review Board and management papers, providing clear financial analysis, commentary, and insights. • Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and SGX Mainboard reporting obligations and requirements. • Act as the primary interface with external auditors, bankers, tax consultants, and other professional advisers. • Support and drive ad hoc assignments, special projects, and corporate initiatives as required. Requirements Qualifications & Experience • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred. • 8 to 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably in a similar leadership or deputy controller role. • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SGX Mainboard listing and reporting requirements. Skills & Competencies • Strong technical accounting knowledge with solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior management and external parties. • Ability to manage tight deadlines and time-sensitive deliverables in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing, mentoring, and developing finance teams. • Able to work independently while handling multiple priorities and changing demands.
