Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and develop strategic partnerships within the FMCG industry. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, expanding distribution networks, and executing commercial strategies to achieve business objectives. (Source: Business Growth & Market Expansion, Sales & Revenue Management) Key Responsibilities Business Growth & Market Expansion • Identify and develop new business opportunities across retail, general trade, modern trade, e-commerce, and distribution channels. • Design and execute market penetration and expansion strategies. • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities. • Support new product launches and market entry initiatives. Sales & Revenue Management • Achieve sales, profitability, and market share targets. • Develop business plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies. • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotions, and trade terms with customers. • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where required. Key Account Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and strategic partners. • Conduct regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities. • Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Distribution & Channel Development • Expand distribution coverage and improve product availability. • Identify, appoint, and manage distribution partners. • Monitor distributor performance and ensure alignment with company standards. • Optimize route-to-market strategies to improve market reach and efficiency. Trade Marketing Collaboration • Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and in-store execution plans. • Ensure effective implementation of trade promotions and merchandising initiatives. • Monitor promotional ROI and recommend improvements. Market Intelligence & Reporting • Gather market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, promotions, and distribution activities. • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews. • Present performance updates and recommendations to senior management. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. • 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the FMCG industry. • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. • Experience managing distributors, retailers, and key accounts. • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits, distributor management, retail audits, and industry events.
