Electrical Technician

Electricians perform a variety of installation, troubleshooting and repair tasks on electrical systems. The duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the scope of the role, but they often include: Understanding and applying blueprints and technical diagrams Using various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers and other electrical devices Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems in homes and businesses Adhering to state and local building regulationsCompleting work orders on time Documenting the work completed and materials used Working with other electricians, general contractors, architects and other team members
