Principal Software Engineer (Golang)

We are hiring Principal Software Engineer (Golang) to support our client, a fast-growing company in the Internet technology industry with products and projects serving users across multiple global markets. This is an opportunity to architect and build large-scale, high-performance distributed systems, drive technology innovation, and shape the technical direction of mission-critical products used by millions of users worldwide. Responsibilities Lead the overall system architecture design and development of core components, including application architecture, development frameworks, engineering standards, and best practices. Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams in the design and implementation of scalable business modules. Continuously optimize and modernize existing platform architecture, identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks, and drive system scalability and reliability. Drive product innovation and technology evolution by designing scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives. Lead the implementation of architectural initiatives, solving complex technical challenges and ensuring high-quality delivery. Lead system refactoring, feature enhancements, technology upgrades, and platform modernization efforts. Design end-to-end technical solutions for system migration, platform transformation, and application modernization projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and software architectures. Expert-level proficiency in Golang, with strong computer science fundamentals. Extensive experience designing high-performance, high-concurrency, highly available distributed systems. Strong knowledge of RPC frameworks, distributed caching, message queues, load balancing, distributed transactions, and system performance tuning. Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, service governance, and distributed system operations. Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle, including database performance tuning and optimization. Familiarity with mainstream NoSQL databases and distributed data storage technologies. Demonstrated experience leading architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams, establishing engineering standards, and mentoring senior engineers. Experience building and scaling products from 0 to 1 is highly preferred. Proficiency in Mandarin is required as this role involves communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams who conduct business primarily in Mandarin. The successful candidate will be required to participate in meetings, review technical documentation, and support project delivery in Mandarin.
