Marine Engineer

[Job ID: 1607073] Responsibilities Perform onboard inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of marine boilers, incinerators, ballast water treatment systems, and other shipboard equipment. Identify mechanical and electrical faults, carry out corrective maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Generate and submit service-related documentation, including quotations, service reports, sales slips, and maintenance records in a timely manner. Coordinate with customers on technical enquiries, service appointments, and provide regular updates on maintenance and repair status. Document inspection findings, report completed work to the Chief Engineer, and ensure all service activities comply with company procedures and quality standards. Requirements At least 1 year of relevant experience in the marine industry, shipyard operations, or onboard vessels as part of the ship crew. Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems with practical troubleshooting and maintenance experience. Capable of diagnosing faults and performing repairs and preventive maintenance on marine equipment. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams. Flexible to travel overseas when required and work beyond regular hours, including weekends and public holidays, to support operational needs.
