Assistant Project Engineer (Building Construction)

Responsibilities Assist Project Manager and Engineers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth site operations Monitor daily site activities and report progress, delays, and issues to the project team Supervise site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions under senior guidance Coordinate material deliveries, site inspections, testing requirements, and subcontractor activities Maintain accurate project documentation including site records, reports, inspections, and as-built drawings Resolve site coordination and technical issues by liaising with stakeholders and escalating when required Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and project safety requirements Attend meetings and prepare minutes to support project communication and coordination Support commissioning, testing, inspection, and handover activities for project completion Perform additional duties as assigned to support project delivery objectives Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline 1–3 years of experience in building construction projects Experience in commercial, residential, A&A, institutional, or mixed-use projects is an added advantage Knowledge of construction methods, site coordination, and project execution processes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications Familiarity with local building regulations, authority requirements, and WSH standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; AutoCAD or BIM knowledge is an added advantage We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
