Job Summary Support the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and welfare standards in building and construction projects, driving risk management and accident prevention on-site. Responsibilities Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare compliance to meet statutory and aerodrome safety standards Oversee health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants to align safety efforts and compliance Prepare and submit daily situation reports to track site safety status and issues Conduct daily inspections of health, safety, and environmental conditions on-site, prepare detailed reports, and follow up with Project Safety Team and contractors to close out findings Execute risk assessments and ensure safe working procedures are properly implemented on-site Investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms Consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with all safety procedures Implement and monitor safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Safety Management System Identify and highlight training or certification needs to meet legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance Required competencies and certifications Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including at least 2 years with a developer or main contractor Experience in developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
