Job Description The Business Finance Tutor is responsible for delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons to undergraduate students studying Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related programmes. The tutor will simplify complex financial concepts, develop students' analytical and problem-solving skills, and prepare them for university examinations, coursework, and professional success. Key Responsibilities Deliver one-to-one and small-group tutoring for undergraduate Business Finance modules. Explain financial concepts using practical business examples. Teach both theoretical knowledge and quantitative problem-solving techniques. Assist students with assignments, case studies, presentations, and examination preparation. Guide students in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and investment evaluation. Develop customised lesson plans according to each student's academic needs. Monitor learning progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents (where applicable). Prepare worksheets, revision notes, mock examinations, and practice questions. Encourage critical thinking and analytical reasoning through business case discussions. Maintain accurate lesson records and progress reports. Stay updated with current developments in finance, economics, and global business trends. Professional Certifications (Preferred) One or more of the following would be advantageous: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Chartered Accountant (CA) Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Experience Minimum 2 years of teaching, tutoring, or lecturing experience in Business Finance or related subjects. Experience teaching undergraduate students from international universities is preferred. Familiarity with university curricula from institutions in Singapore, the UK, Australia, the US, or Canada is advantageous. Experience supporting coursework, dissertations, and examination preparation. Language Requirements Excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to communicate effectively with non-native English speakers. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred due to the institute's student demographic.
