We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Technical Director to lead our technical sales strategy and support business growth. This role bridges the gap between sales, engineering, and product teams by providing technical leadership throughout the sales cycle. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, develop technical sales strategies, mentor technical sales professionals, and ensure customers receive innovative solutions that meet their business needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the organization's technical sales strategy in alignment with business objectives. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales engineers and technical specialists. Partner with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive revenue growth. Engage with strategic customers to understand business challenges and recommend appropriate technical solutions. Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements. Support complex sales opportunities by providing solution architecture, technical guidance, and risk assessment. Collaborate with product teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product roadmap decisions. Establish best practices for technical sales processes, documentation, and customer engagement. Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage. Develop technical enablement programs and training materials for internal sales teams. Participate in executive-level customer meetings and represent the company at industry events and conferences. Track technical sales performance metrics and continuously improve team effectiveness. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in technical sales, solution engineering, or consulting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated success supporting enterprise and strategic sales opportunities. Strong understanding of enterprise technology, cloud platforms, software solutions, networking, cybersecurity, or other relevant technologies. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-priority opportunities. Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities. Willingness to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Cisco, VMware, PMP, TOGAF, or equivalent). Experience working with enterprise customers across multiple industries. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and technical collaboration tools.
