Apj Uav Business Development Lead & Application Technical Consultant

Job Summary • This role is responsible for driving UAV business development and providing advanced Application Technical Consultant coverage across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region. The role acts as a trusted technical and business advisor to customers, partners, and regional sales teams, connecting customer requirements with HP Additive Manufacturing solutions. • The role leads technical customer engagements, identifies and develops UAV and industrial additive manufacturing opportunities, and supports customers through application assessment, technical validation, industrialization, and production scale-up. • Based in Singapore, the role serves as the APJ ATC focal point and collaborates across regional sales, application engineering, R&D, product management, Professional Services, and business development teams. It also supports knowledge transfer and capability development across the region. Responsibilities • Leads UAV business development activities across APJ, working with regional sales teams and country organizations to identify, qualify, and develop new customer and partner opportunities. • Acts as the APJ Application Technical Consultant focal point, coordinating advanced technical support and connecting regional teams with the appropriate HP technical resources. • Builds deep and strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on additive manufacturing applications, production requirements, and business value. • Engages with customers to understand their business objectives, application requirements, manufacturing challenges, production workflows, and growth plans. • Develops technical and business value propositions that demonstrate how HP Multi Jet Fusion solutions can support UAV application development, industrialization, scalable manufacturing, and improved production economics. • Leads complex technical customer engagements, including application assessments, technical workshops, solution presentations, demonstrations, benchmarks, proof-of-concept activities, and production-readiness evaluations. • Provides advanced technical consultancy on application development, process optimization, production scale-up, workflow optimization, productivity, quality, factory operations, and Total Cost of Ownership. • Supports the qualification, definition, and delivery of Professional Services engagements, including Process Development, application development, customer enablement, and factory or production optimization projects. • Collaborates with sales teams to develop and execute regional customer and opportunity plans, helping remove technical barriers and accelerate opportunities from initial exploration to production implementation. • Coordinates with cross-functional teams, including regional sales, application engineering, R&D, product management, marketing, Professional Services, and business leadership, to ensure that proposed solutions align with customer requirements and HP capabilities. • Uses customer insights, market knowledge, and technical expertise to provide input on product requirements, service offerings, application needs, and market trends. • Captures technical barriers, customer requirements, and regional market feedback and communicates them to the relevant HP product, R&D, and business teams. • Develops and shares technical assets, application knowledge, customer learnings, best practices, training materials, and reusable value propositions for UAV and other strategic applications. • Provides structured knowledge transfer, training, and coaching to regional sales and technical teams, strengthening their ability to identify opportunities and support customer engagements. • Supports and mentors other technical team members by sharing advanced application, process, and customer engagement expertise and promoting continuous improvement. • Represents HP Additive Manufacturing in customer meetings, partner engagements, industry events, and relevant UAV or advanced manufacturing activities across the APJ region. • Travels across the APJ region based on customer, partner, and business needs.
