Position Overview The Lecturer (Creative Media & Emerging Technologies) is responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences across diploma, professional development, and skills-based programmes. The successful candidate should possess strong industry expertise and a proven track record of professional practice. Beyond teaching, the Lecturer will contribute to curriculum development, assessment design, learner mentorship, and academic quality initiatives while supporting learners in building industry-ready portfolios and practical competencies. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Facilitation Deliver lessons through classroom, online, and blended learning environments. Facilitate workshops, practical exercises, projects, and collaborative learning activities. Guide learners in applying industry tools, technologies, and workflows to real-world scenarios. Create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. Provide timely feedback and academic support to learners. Assessment & Learner Development Design, administer, and evaluate assessments in accordance with programme requirements. Assess learner performance and provide constructive developmental feedback. Mentor learners in projects, portfolios, presentations, and capstone assignments. Monitor learner progress and support the achievement of learning outcomes. Maintain accurate learner, attendance, and assessment records. Curriculum Development & Quality Assurance Develop, review, and enhance lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments. Ensure curriculum content remains current and aligned with industry developments and emerging technologies. Participate in programme reviews, moderation activities, and quality assurance processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance learner outcomes and programme quality. Industry Engagement Stay informed of current and emerging industry trends, technologies, and practices. Incorporate relevant case studies, tools, and industry insights into teaching and learning activities. Support collaborations with industry practitioners, organisations, and strategic partners. Participate in industry events, networking sessions, learner showcases, and outreach activities where required. Areas of Expertise Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: Generative AI & AI Workflows Content Creation & Digital Media Digital Marketing & Branding Photography & Videography Video Editing & Post-Production Design & Visual Communication Creative Technology Social Media Strategy User Experience (UX) & Digital Products Motion Graphics & Animation Communications & Public Relations Entrepreneurship & Digital Business Emerging Technologies and Innovation Qualifications & Experience Essential Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience. Must possess a professional portfolio that demonstrates practical expertise, industry experience, and proficiency in the subject area(s) they intend to teach. Portfolio should showcase completed projects, campaigns, creative works, products, case studies, or other relevant professional achievements that support the applicant's skillsets and industry credibility. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Passion for education and learner development. Ability to translate industry knowledge into practical and engaging learning experiences. Preferred ACTA, ACLP, DACE, TAE, or equivalent adult learning qualification.
