Research Assistant

COMPANY DESCRIPTION THK MC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THK MC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission - To Serve Mankind - to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THK MC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy. RESPONSIBILITIES Engage relevant internal and/or external stakeholders to identify research and evaluation needs/questions Conduct literature reviews Conceptualize and design the studies/projects including the methodology (sampling method, test materials/surveys to be used etc…) and the timeline (project milestones) Manage all aspects of the studies/projects from start to completion Conduct fieldwork, interviews, experiments, concept tests, etc. to gather data Conduct data preparation and cleaning on the gathered data Conduct relevant quantitative and/or qualitative analyses on the cleaned data Prepare presentations and reports for internal/external stakeholders Prepare presentations for conferences and manuscripts for journal publications QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and above in social work, psychology, or related fields At least two years of relevant experience is preferred (fresh graduates with research being a core component of their degree, are welcome to apply) Experience with at least one data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, R (quantitative) or NVivo, ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA (qualitative) and/or similar tools is preferred Strong command of written and spoken English Analytical, organized, and good interpersonal skills Prior experience in social service sector would be an added advantage Please note that your application will be sent to and reviewed by the direct employer - Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities
