Senior Technical Solution Lead

Location Singapore Employment Type 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension) About the Company We are a Singapore-based technology company specialising in Industrial IoT, enterprise software platforms, cloud applications, AI-enabled solutions, and smart infrastructure technologies across Southeast Asia. As part of our regional expansion, we are establishing an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) to support software engineering, cloud platform development, IoT integrations, analytics, and enterprise application development. Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Solution Lead to provide technical leadership and delivery oversight for our software and Industrial IoT projects. Working closely with the Programme Director and Business Analyst, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable software solutions while providing technical guidance to our Offshore Development Centre (ODC). This role is ideal for an experienced Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer looking to take the next step into technical leadership while remaining actively involved in solution design and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Technical Solution Leadership Design practical and scalable software solution architectures. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Review application architecture, APIs, databases, and integration designs. Provide technical guidance to the offshore development team. Review code and ensure adherence to engineering best practices. Assist the team in resolving technical challenges and design issues. Project Delivery Support Work with the Programme Director to plan and monitor project delivery. Track project progress, milestones, and technical deliverables. Identify project risks and support mitigation planning. Participate in sprint planning, sprint reviews, and technical discussions. Ensure technical deliverables are completed according to schedule. Offshore Development Centre (ODC) Leadership Provide day-to-day technical leadership and guidance to the Offshore Development Centre in Vietnam and/or Malaysia. Work closely with the ODC Engineering Lead to coordinate development activities. Mentor software developers and promote engineering best practices. Support technical interviews and onboarding of new engineering team members when required. Foster collaboration between the Singapore office and the Offshore Development Centre. Quality & Release Management Review technical testing strategies and implementation quality. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production readiness activities. Ensure software quality before production deployment. Participate in production support and issue resolution where required. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of software development experience. Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, or Solution Lead is preferred. Good understanding of software architecture and modern application design. Experience working with Agile development methodologies. Experience working with offshore or distributed software development teams is an advantage. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable leading technical discussions and mentoring developers. Preferred Technical Skills Node.js / NestJS / Python RESTful APIs PostgreSQL or MySQL Vue.js or React Docker Git CI/CD fundamentals AWS or Microsoft Azure Preferred Domain Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will have an advantage: Industrial IoT platforms MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA or LoRaWAN Real-time monitoring platforms Smart buildings and industrial automation Edge computing Enterprise dashboard applications Preferred Attributes Hands-on technical leader.
