Responsibilities Set up science laboratories for lessons, practical activities, and examinations to ensure readiness and safety Prepare and procure materials, apparatus, and consumables aligned with lesson requirements to support teaching activities Coordinate laboratory schedules with teachers and classes to optimize resource use and lesson flow Distribute teaching resources and materials to science teachers promptly to facilitate lesson preparation Maintain and update laboratory inventory, equipment, and teaching-resource records to ensure accurate stock and availability Assist teachers during practical lessons by providing hands-on support and enforcing laboratory safety protocols Support science programmes, assessments, enrichment activities, Science Fair, and environmental club events to enhance student engagement Assist with maintenance of the school’s aquaponics system, gardens, and science-related plants to support environmental learning Required competencies and certifications Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level / ‘O’ Level qualification or equivalent At least 3 years of experience working in a science laboratory environment Good knowledge of laboratory equipment, materials, and basic safety procedures Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience working in a school science laboratory environment (preferred to enhance familiarity with educational settings)
