The Cloud Migration Technical Architect leads the end-to-end planning, architecture, governance and technical execution of enterprise cloud migration programmes across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The architect will develop migration strategies, design target-state architectures, lead technical delivery teams, and ensure successful migration of applications, infrastructure, and platforms with minimal business disruption. In addition, the roleoperates within a managed services environment, providing advanced (L4)technical support for complex escalations, ensuring continuous serviceavailability, and driving operational excellence across multi-technologydomains including cloud, networking, security, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: 1. Migration Strategy · Assess current on-premises environments and application portfolios. · Develop cloud adoption and migration strategies. · Perform application discovery and dependency mapping. · Define migration waves and migration roadmaps. · Recommend appropriate migration approaches (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain). 2. ArchitectureD esign Design landing zones and cloud foundations. Develop hybrid cloud architectures. Design networking, security, identity, backup, DR and governance. Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD). Establish architecture standards and reusable reference architectures. 3. Migration Delivery Lead migration planning and execution. Review migration runbooks. Coordinate migration windows. Oversee cutover and rollback planning. Resolve technical issues during migration. 4. Technical Leadership Lead technical workshops with customers. Mentor engineers and technical leads. Conduct architecture reviews. Ensure compliance with enterprise standards. Support complex troubleshooting. 5. Governance &Risk Identify migration risks. Define mitigation strategies. Review technical quality. Ensure security and compliance requirements are met. Participate in Change Advisory Board(CAB). 6. Customer Engagement Present migration strategies to executives. Conduct discovery workshops. Provide technical assurance. Support pre-sales and solution development. Qualifications and Certifications: · Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). · Mandatory Certifications - Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Amazon Web Services AWS Certified Solutions Architect– Professional - The Open Group TOGAF Certified - ITIL 4 Foundation Preferred - VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) - Azure Administrator Associate - AWS SysOps Administrator - CISSP (preferred) - Terraform Associate · Additional cloud-native and container certifications areadvantageous.
