Job Description Serve as the registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer appointed under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), ensuring full compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, subsidiary legislation, and all applicable statutory requirements. Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management system, policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local regulations, corporate EHS standards, and customer requirements (e.g. Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and UL2799 Zero Waste to Landfill). Lead and facilitate Workplace Safety and Health Committee meetings, workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident and accident investigations, and ensure timely implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure compliance with all statutory EHS reporting requirements, regulatory submissions, licences, permits, and support inspections and audits conducted by government authorities. Monitor, interpret, and communicate updates to applicable EHS legislation, ensuring company policies and site practices remain fully compliant. Manage contractor EHS compliance by reviewing and approving Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), work permits, and other required EHS documentation prior to commencement of work. Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, waste tracking, recycling programs, and reporting to ensure compliance with UL2799 Zero Waste to Landfill certification requirements. Partner with internal departments, contractors, and waste management vendors to ensure proper waste segregation, recycling practices, environmental compliance, and accurate documentation. Plan, coordinate, and support internal and external EHS audits, customer assessments, and certification audits by preparing documentation, coordinating site inspections, and ensuring timely closure of audit findings. Compile, analyse, and submit EHS performance metrics, reports, and compliance data to management, corporate headquarters, customers, and regulatory authorities as required. Develop and deliver EHS orientation, training, awareness programmes, and emergency preparedness exercises to employees and contractors to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Champion a proactive safety culture by driving employee engagement, hazard reporting, behavioural safety initiatives, and continuous improvement of workplace health, safety, and environmental performance. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management in support of the company's Environment, Health & Safety objectives. Job Requirements: Registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) – mandatory . Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety& Health, Engineering , or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant Environment, Health&Safety (EHS) experience , preferably in the manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, logistics, or technology industry . Good knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act , local environmental regulations, and statutory EHS requirements. Familiarity with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards and UL2799 Zero Waste to Landfill requirements is an added advantage. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
