Responsibilities Plan menus considering budget constraints and seasonal ingredient availability to optimize cost and quality Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely food service Coordinate and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient preparation and cooking processes Train kitchen staff to prepare and cook all menu items to meet quality standards Monitor ingredient and equipment inventory, conduct stocktaking, and place orders to replenish supplies Enforce strict safety and sanitation standards to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment Develop new recipes to refresh the menu and align with current culinary trends Collect and analyze customer feedback to implement continuous improvements in food quality and service Adapt flexibly to various kitchen roles including dishwashing and waste disposal to support team needs Work extended hours including weekends and public holidays to meet operational demands Required competencies and certifications Demonstrated 15 years of experience specializing in Sichuan, Northeastern, and Hunan cuisines Proven ability to maintain excellent food quality and timely service Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff Expertise in multitasking within a high-pressure kitchen environment Skilled in stock management and ordering to ensure uninterrupted kitchen supply Commitment to sanitation and quality control standards Preferred competencies and qualifications Portfolio showcasing creative and unique dishes Passion for culinary arts and delighting customers with food
