VP/ Director Technology

COMPANY OVERVIEW The client is a leading life science technology company. Aspart of their continuous growth, they are looking for a Technology &Architecture leader to steer their evolution from a hardware-led product company into a software-and-AI-enabled platform business. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Define problems and system logic, laying out challenges clearly for stakeholders. Own architecture discipline across hardware, firmware, software, cloud, and AI layers. Apply software development principles to hardware interfaces, making complex instrumentation feel simple and intuitive for end-users. Lead the architecture and delivery of the next-generation software platform, integrating AI capabilities into unified, workflow-level user experiences. Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Applications, Product, and Commercial teams to align architecture with constraints and commercial priorities. JOB REQUIREMENTS More than 10 years of experience in systems architecture, platform engineering, or related disciplines. Must have experience in application of software development principles to hardware interfaces. Direct experience building scientist-facing software or clinician-facing healthcare application. A genuine problem-first thinker: comfortable defining and structuring ambiguous challenges before reaching for a solution, rather than defaulting to familiar fixes.
