New Product Introduction (Npi) Engineer

Job Summary An NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer manages the journey of a new product from initial concept to mass production, developing processes, creating documentation, optimizing yields, and coordinating teams to ensure successful, high-quality product launches, focusing on design, testing, and process implementation. Responsibilities Plan project timelines, allocate resources, and manage the NPI pipeline from concept through mass production to ensure timely product launches Create detailed product designs, interpret engineering drawings, and develop manufacturing processes and tooling to support production needs Establish and optimize production methods, creating standard work instructions to enhance efficiency and consistency for new products Oversee product testing and validation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure products meet defined quality standards Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams to facilitate smooth product transitions and reviews Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate data updates in the Epicor system to support manufacturing and supply chain activities Bridge communication gaps between manufacturing and supply chain teams to align processes and improve product flow Drive yield improvement and process control initiatives to ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency Troubleshoot programming or production problems related to new product introductions to minimize delays and defects Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency Requirements: Diploma in Manufacturing or Mechanical fields with more than 3 years of relevant experience Ability to multitask and manage a wide spectrum of responsibilities effectively Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Knowledge of production routing and scheduling to support manufacturing planning and execution
