Responsibilities SharePoint Administration: • Manage and maintain SharePoint farms and site collections • Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management • Define and enforce governance policies and best practices • Support hybrid integration with Microsoft 365 services • Troubleshoot issues across SharePoint architecture SQL Server Management: • Administer SQL Server environments supporting SharePoint and other applications • Monitor and optimize database performance and resource utilization • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies • Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., Always On, clustering) • Perform capacity planning and database maintenance Automation & Scripting: • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks • Improve operational efficiency through automation and tooling • Generate reports for system health, usage, and compliance Security & Compliance: • Implement and enforce least-privilege access models • Ensure secure configurations aligned with enterprise policies • Support audit readiness and compliance requirements • Collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks Monitoring & Reliability: • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms • Perform root cause analysis and incident resolution • Participate in on-call support rotation • Ensure high availability and system stability • Proactively monitors the work queues • Performs operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner and within the agreed SLA. • Identifies, investigates, analyses issues and errors prior to or when they occur, and logs all such incidents in a timely manner. • Executes changes with clear identification of risks and mitigation plans to be captured into the change record. • Ability to work across various other resolver group (internal and external) like Service Provider, TAC, etc. • Identifies problems and errors before they impact a client’s service • Leads and manages all initial client escalation for operational issues. • May work on implementing and delivering disaster recovery functions and tests. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience). • Minimum 6 years of experience managing enterprise Microsoft collaboration and database platforms, including SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange Server/Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Skype for Business Server. • Strong technical expertise in PowerShell scripting, automation, system administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proven experience supporting hybrid environments, implementing migration strategies, and administering both on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft technologies. • Relevant Microsoft certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified - Enterprise Administrator Expert / Azure Database Administrator Associate Licence no: 12C6060
