Role Description The Retail Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site position based at Joo Chiat Atelier in Singapore. The role involves welcoming customers, understanding their preferences and recommending suitable vintage jewellery, designer bags, art pieces and other collectibles. The Retail Sales Specialist will support the full customer journey, from initial enquiries and product presentation to closing sales and providing after-sales assistance. Daily responsibilities include maintaining strong customer relationships, responding to online and in-store enquiries, preparing product information, following up with potential customers and updating sales and inventory records. The role may also involve assisting with social media content, livestream sales, store displays, consignment enquiries and promotional events. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to engage with customers from different backgrounds. Previous experience in retail sales, luxury goods, fashion, jewellery, vintage products or other customer-facing roles is preferred. Candidates should have strong sales and negotiation abilities, with the motivation to achieve individual and store sales targets. An interest in vintage jewellery, designer bags, art, fashion or collectibles would be an advantage. Candidates should be organised, responsible and comfortable handling product enquiries, customer follow-ups and basic sales records. Good spoken and written English is required. Mandarin-speaking ability would be beneficial when assisting Chinese-speaking customers. Candidates should be comfortable using social media platforms, messaging applications and basic office software. A diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred, although candidates with relevant retail or sales experience are also encouraged to apply.
