Job Description We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented M&E Coordinator to coordinate, supervise, and monitor all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works for construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that M&E services are properly planned, installed, tested, and integrated with architectural and structural works in accordance with project specifications, statutory requirements, quality standards, and timelines. Key Responsibilities Coordinate M&E works with consultants, subcontractors, clients, and the project team to ensure smooth project execution. Review M&E drawings, specifications, and material submissions to identify discrepancies and resolve technical issues. Monitor site progress, quality, and workmanship of M&E installations to ensure compliance with approved plans and standards. Liaise with authorities, consultants, and clients on inspections, submissions, approvals, and technical matters. Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and workplace safety requirements. Plan and manage M&E work schedules to align with the overall construction programme. Attend project, site, and coordination meetings to resolve clashes and interface issues between architectural, structural, and M&E works. Verify subcontractors’ progress claims, variation works, and reports related to M&E services. Assist in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of M&E systems. Support project documentation, reporting, and coordination for Authority to Work and inspections where required. Job Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related engineering discipline. Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination within the construction industry. Candidates with Addition & Alteration (A&A) and fit-out M&E experience will be highly preferred. Good knowledge of local codes, regulations, and submission procedures, including BCA, PUB, EMA, SCDF, and NEA requirements. Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems such as HVAC / ACMV, electrical, plumbing and sanitary, fire protection, and related building services. Proficient in reviewing construction and M&E drawings; knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit will be an advantage. Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Willing to be based on-site as required. Preferred Skills Experience in coordinating M&E works for A&A, fit-out, and renovation projects. Familiarity with site inspections, testing and commissioning processes, and project handover procedures. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.
