Jurong Port’s multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port’s local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo. Responsibilities 1 Billing & Revenue Management Conduct timely review of vessel jobs to ensure accuracy and completeness of customer billing processes Verify service delivery against contracted terms and ensure all chargeable services are properly captured and documented Prepare monthly revenue accrual preparations and support month-end financial closing activities Monitor billing cycles and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure timely revenue recognition 2 Commercial Operations Support Process commercial documentation and maintain accurate records of all commercial transactions and contractual agreements Support management in commercial decision-making through preparation of reports and analysis Ensure compliance with commercial terms, port regulations, and established standard operating procedures 3 Coordination & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Finance, Documentation) to ensure seamless commercial operations and timely information flow Work together with Shipping Agencies to facilitate smooth vessel operations and maintain collaborative working relationships 4 Project Management & Continuous Improvements Participate in continuous improvement initiatives alongside key project teams as a business user to optimise and streamline legacy processes Involve in User Acceptance Test (UAT) for system development and adoption Exposure to broad organisational goals and ownership of Business-as-Usual (BAU) tasks Job Specifications Pro-active team player with a visible sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and ability to work in a very dynamic port environment Thrives in fast-paced environment with many priorities simultaneously and ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively Positive mind-set focusing on daily execution, standardization, and continuous improvement of commercial processes Passionate about driving change across internal and external stakeholders with desire and ambition to grow within Singapore's supply chain industry. He/She is able to analyze & develop insights from commercial data and able to grasp big picture concepts related to port operations Bachelor Degree or Higher is required. Previous experience in port operations, shipping, or commercial roles would be advantageous
