Case Worker (Freelancer)

Position Overview The Case Worker for the Family Service Centre (FSC) will support the Centre’s casework system by managing assigned caseload and implementing client intervention plans. Key Duties & Responsibilities 1. Casework & Counselling 1.1. Maintain a minimum caseload of 5 active cases a month. 1.2. Identify and assess the needs of the clients after which, plan and implement the appropriate intervention plans with them. 1.3. Conduct home visits and assessments to better understand family dynamics and the context of the clients’ challenges. 1.4. Support the agency’s casework system including administration, evaluation of intervention efficacy and ethical closure of cases. 1.5. Attend relevant case conferences, interagency meetings as required, advocating for client welfare and representing social work profession to best of ability. 1.6. Perform resource mapping and advocacy, connecting clients to relevant community resources, financial schemes and specialised support services. 1.7. Complete documentation on SSNet and consult immediately at points of crisis. 2. Other Duties 2.1. Engage with supervisor via Microsoft Teams or F2F once a month. Requirements Qualifications & Experience 1. Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Work. 2. Accredited or registered as a Social Worker under SASW (preferred). 3. Experience in the social services or public services sector (preferred). Capabilities 1. Strong counselling and case management skills. 2. Ability to support families, couples, and individuals in crisis. 3. Good assessment and intervention planning skills. 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Experience ingroup work and facilitation. 6. Ability to work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders. 7. Good case documentation skills.
