Job Title: Senior Operations Executive – Bunker Operations Reports To: Operations Manager / General Manager Job Summary The Senior Operations Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily bunker operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of marine fuels to customers. The role involves managing bunker vessel schedules, coordinating with customers, suppliers, surveyors, and port authorities, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily bunker delivery schedules for bunker tankers and barges. Liaise with customers, vessel operators, bunker traders, surveyors, agents, suppliers, and port authorities to ensure smooth execution of bunker operations. Monitor vessel movements and bunker delivery progress to ensure timely and efficient service. Coordinate berth availability, loading schedules, and fuel supply arrangements. Ensure all bunker operations are conducted in compliance with company procedures, maritime regulations, and port requirements. Monitor fuel inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to maintain operational readiness. Review and verify bunker delivery documentation, including Bunker Delivery Notes (BDNs), survey reports, cargo documentation, and operational records. Coordinate with vessel masters and crew regarding delivery instructions, cargo operations, and safety requirements. Manage operational incidents, delays, customer complaints, and emergency situations, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality management systems. Prepare daily operational reports, vessel utilization reports, and performance analyses for management review. Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities. Provide guidance and supervision to junior operations personnel. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in bunker operations, tanker operations, marine fuel supply, shipping, or maritime operations. Strong knowledge of bunker delivery processes, cargo operations, marine fuel logistics, and vessel scheduling. Familiarity with bunker industry regulations, port procedures, and maritime safety requirements. Knowledge of SS 648, IMO regulations, MARPOL requirements, and Singapore port regulations is highly advantageous. Experience coordinating bunker barges, tankers, surveyors, and marine service providers. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bunker management or operations systems. Ability to work on a 24/7 operational support basis when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Singapore bunker operations and familiarity with Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) requirements. Understanding of fuel quality management, custody transfer procedures, and bunker surveying processes. Experience managing marine fuel inventory and supply chain coordination.
