Head Taekwondo Coach Location: Singapore Company: KTMA Academy Employment Type: Full-time About the Role KTMA Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Taekwondo Coach to lead our coaching team and deliver high-quality Taekwondo instruction across all age groups and skill levels. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent technical expertise, coaching experience, and a commitment to developing athletes in a positive, disciplined, and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, conduct, and oversee Taekwondo training sessions for students of all ages and abilities. Lead and mentor assistant coaches to ensure consistent coaching standards across the academy. Develop structured training programmes that support technical, physical, and personal development. Prepare students for belt grading examinations, competitions, and other academy events. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents where appropriate. Ensure all classes are conducted safely and in accordance with academy policies and best practices. Foster a positive, respectful, and motivating training environment that promotes discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship. Assist with the planning and delivery of seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and promotional activities. Support student recruitment and retention initiatives. Maintain training equipment and ensure the cleanliness and organisation of training facilities. Perform administrative duties related to coaching, attendance, scheduling, and reporting as required. Requirements WT Taekwondo black belt (4th Dan) with relevant coaching qualifications. Proven experience coaching Taekwondo, with leadership or head coach experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Taekwondo techniques, training methodologies, and competition preparation. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to coach students from beginner to advanced levels. Passion for athlete development and fostering a positive learning environment. Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching competitive athletes at regional, national, or international levels. Current first aid and CPR certification.
