Safety Coordinator

Safety Coordinator Implement and monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, relevant regulations, and company safety requirements. Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify workplace hazards. Carry out risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports. Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and WSH training for employees and contractors. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices. Coordinate emergency response plans, fire drills, and first aid arrangements. Maintain WSH documentation, including inspection records, incident reports, permits, and training records. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on WSH matters. Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements. Support WSH audits and implement corrective actions arising from inspections or audits. Prepare monthly WSH reports and safety performance statistics for management. Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
