LMA Recruitment is looking for an experienced Payments Operations Leader to oversee a critical banking operations function, driving operational excellence, strong governance, and a high-performing team while delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. Ensure the smooth execution of payments operations, maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. Monitor operational performance against agreed service levels, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and streamline processes. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of operational and business change programmes. Build strong relationships with business partners and key stakeholders to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness. Maintain a robust control environment by ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations. Oversee operational risk, incident management, and issue resolution, ensuring timely escalation and remediation where required. Manage third-party or outsourced service providers to ensure operational standards and performance expectations are consistently achieved. Requirements Extensive leadership experience in Payments Operations within a banking or financial services environment. Strong knowledge of payment operations, operational controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Proven track record of leading operational teams, improving service delivery, and driving process optimisation. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple business functions. Experience managing operational performance, capacity planning, and service quality in a fast-paced environment.
