Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary Manage quantity surveying tasks including tender preparation, subcontractor negotiations, and variation order evaluations to support construction projects, especially in A&A and new build sectors. Responsibilities Conduct site briefings during site show rounds to gather project information Organize and execute tender processes independently, including briefing management on tender background, calling for quotations, measuring quantities, presenting comparisons, and compiling tender submissions with Contracts Manager guidance Measure quantities accurately for tender preparation and payment evaluations Evaluate and respond to payment claims and variation orders for subcontractors Obtain quotations and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project costs Prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, settlements, and subcontractor payments to ensure accurate financial management Perform all other quantity surveying related tasks to support project delivery Preferred competencies and qualifications Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying Minimum 2 years of relevant construction industry experience, especially in A&A projects For SQS candidates, minimum 6 years of Singapore main contractor experience Proven ability to estimate tenders, negotiate contracts, administer contracts, and manage variation orders Ability to work independently to estimate and prepare tender submissions Strong analytical, meticulous, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach Effective communication and negotiation skills Ability to work well within a team and meet tight deadlines
