Core Mission Drive revenue growth at our luxury lounge by proactively identifying guest needs and converting them into high-value sales. This role focuses on 60% Sales and 40% Service, requiring a professional who can seamlessly transition from a persuasive consultant to an expert sommelier and cigar steward. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $3,000 - $3,500 per month. Incentive: Monthly sales-based commission (Tiered according to performance). Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Revenue Generation Client Engagement: Proactively welcome guests to the 5th floor, identifying their tastes to recommend premium selections. Expert Consultation: Use deep knowledge of cigars, wines, and whiskeys to drive sales through storytelling and vintage education. Cross-Selling & Pairing: Strategically suggest whiskey or wine pairings to complement cigar purchases, maximizing the average transaction value. Closing the Sale: Guide the guest from initial interest to the final bill, ensuring a smooth and profitable transaction. 2. Specialized Service & Stewardship Cigar Stewardship: Execute the professional cutting, toasting, and lighting of cigars while educating guests on tobacco origins, wrappers, and aging processes. Sommelier & Whiskey Service: Perform elegant wine service (including decanting and proper glassware selection) and specialized whiskey service (neat, on the rocks, or expert pours). Anticipatory Hospitality: Provide refined, discreet service by anticipating guest needs before they are voiced. Operational Excellence: Maintain a spotless and sophisticated lounge environment, ensuring all tables are reset to 5-star standards. 3. Inventory & Quality Control Stock Monitoring: Oversee the humidor and wine cellar to ensure cigars are kept at optimal humidity and beverages are stored at correct temperatures. Merchandising: Ensure the 5th-floor displays are elegant and conducive to driving guest interest and sales. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum [2] years of sales and service experience in a luxury lounge, high-end private club, or fine dining environment. Deep Product Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of global wine regions. Extensive knowledge of premium cigar origins, including Cuba and the Dominican Republic. New: Strong proficiency in whiskey categories (Scotch, Japanese, Bourbon, etc.). Certifications: WSET Level 2+ or CMS Certified Sommelier is highly preferred. Soft Skills: Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to close sales. Impeccable communication skills and a polished, professional presentation. The ability to maintain discretion and poise in a high-pressure, luxury environment.
