Lab Application Engineer (Manufacturing)

Duration: 12-month contract Work location: Commonwealth MRT About the Job Supports internal and external technical requests and projects through performing lab testing Completes Customer Technical Testing Requests and Reports within the database or equivalent Performs / supports completion of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan on all product related performance complaints Writes customer facing reports for the Field Sales/Application Engineering teams, Key Account Managers, Marketing, Product Development and Innovations or project team Runs and upkeeps laboratory equipment, leads/supports ongoing standardization, harmonization and administration of laboratory test methods, prepares SOP & risk assessment of lab operations/activities Manage the lab, ensures laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations Responsible for directly communicating with the Field Sales/Application Engineering teams, Key Account Managers or project team Performs customer lab demonstrations and customer training To assist in day-to-day laboratory operations e.g. arrangement for testing, inventory control of laboratory supplies and chemicals, lab consumables etc Maintain and upkeep laboratory records, including documentations for inventories, SDS and safety Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain good housekeeping Any other ad-hoc duties assigned Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or relevant Engineering/technical discipline 1-3 years working experience in the laboratory, preferably with knowledge on adhesives and/or handling equipment such as DSC, TGA, TMA, SEM/EDX, EA Analysis and rheometer will be a plus Good communication skills and interpersonal skills necessary Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Proactive team player with the ability to work independently Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Excel, and Statistical Analysis Software is a plus Ramos May Anne De Mesa - mayanne.ramos@manpower.com.sg Personnel Reg No: R1110127 Manpower Staffing Services (S) Pte Ltd EA Licence No: 02C3423
