Job Summary The Repair Technician will be stationed primarily at the customer’s in-house workbench to support equipment and component repair, testing, and maintenance activities. The role focuses on ensuring quick turnaround and reliable performance of semiconductor tool subassemblies and spare parts, contributing to high equipment uptime at the customer site. Key Responsibilities Perform repair, refurbishment, and testing of semiconductor equipment parts and subassemblies. Conduct troubleshooting down to board or component level where applicable. Maintain the customer’s in-house workbench, tools, and spare part inventory in good condition. Ensure all repairs meet functional and quality standards before return to production use Work closely with Galatek’s engineering and service teams to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions. Record all repair activities, test results, and parts usage in the service database. Provide technical feedback to improve tool reliability and maintainability. Adhere to all ESD, cleanroom, and safety protocols. Support periodic preventive maintenance and calibration tasks as assigned. Job Requirements Qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical training) is advantageous Prior hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment repair, module refurbishment, or similar precision electronic/mechanical systems. Troubleshooting skills with ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience with electrical measurement tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.) and mechanical hand tools. Familiarity with cleanroom and ESD-safe working procedures. Good documentation discipline and communication skills. Able to work independently at customer site with professionalism and responsibility. Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment types and repair procedures.
