Main duties: - Service engineer is assigned to perform tests, maintenance, repair, inspections, fault-finding and troubleshooting of installed components of marine EGCS (exhaust gas cleaning systems). Additional tasks: - Service Engineer (when / if needed) may be assigned to support internal and external stakeholders by providing technical support and solutions and taking ownership of assigned support cases. - Service Engineer (when / if needed) may be assigned after-hours on a rotating basis to assist customers with emergency cases (24/7 remote support). Location: - Manta Marine Service hub in Singapore as base, onboard of ships, at ports, anchorage and shipyards - Other locations which may be needed occasionally. Essential responsibilities and relevant key words: - Perform preventive maintenance, repair, monitoring, inspections, tests, calibration, fault-finding, troubleshooting - Perform basic software tasks in relation to attendances, such as uploading, downloading and fine-tuning the software - Prepare required documents for completion of service trips and ensure that the documents are received by Office. - Assist internal with evaluating and investigating incoming claims and developing scope of work prior to service or warranty repair attendances. - Assist other Manta Marine engineers during installation, commissioning, and service missions. - If assigned, hold training sessions for customer/crew members during service-related trips onboard the vessel to ensure that crew members maintain and operate the Manta systems/equipment properly. - If assigned, perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) - Submit product improvement proposals to the concerned department and Service Manager in existing and future hardware or software to prevent the reoccurrence of a problem (failures, defects, anomalies, and malfunctions). Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: - Ensures that all activities, both supervisory and administrative tasks, at site agree with the governing laws, rules, standards, and existing policies of the company and at the field. - Participate in all safety and security training that Manta provides. - Develop and retain good customer relationship on field - Convey feedback of customers from on-site and/or off-site activities to the Service Manager to address the situation for future, development and improvement. - Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Hard Skills: - BSc degree or minimum 5 years relevant work experience in the shipping/marine/maritime industry - Knowledge of proper safety procedures on board and recognition of hazards at sites (marine safety). - Solid skills in marine electric , having experience and a good understanding of PLC s, network and communication between components. - Sufficient computer proficiency in: • MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). • MS Dynamics (Case Management System). - Driver’s license (vehicles) Soft Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. - Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Be flexible whenever necessary. - Ability to work in teams and independently, and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices - being structured, handy, and can plan and organize the execution of service work. - With short notice can travel abroad and leave your home for service trips. Advantages: - Knowledge and experience with SOx/NOx, function of components and whole system, including: • PLC program changes/re-programming. • VFD commissioning/re-programming. • Setup of network communication systems. Configuration of switches, I/O, PLC, etc. - First aid certificate
