ROLE PURPOSE The Project Manager (Digital Governance) supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of governance-related activities across the organisation's digital products and projects. The role facilitates governance reviews, tracks compliance requirements, and works closely with stakeholders across delivery, technology, architecture, and security teams to ensure digital initiatives are delivered in alignment with established standards and policies. RESPONSIBILITIES Digital Governance Planning and Delivery : Lead the development and continuous improvement of the organisation's Digital Governance framework, including policies, standards, playbooks, and templates. Consolidate and streamline existing governance processes to improve consistency and usability across the organisation's digital products and monitor emerging technologies and public sector practices to keep the framework current. Governance Integration and Advisory : Partner with product teams, project managers, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to embed governance requirements throughout the digital delivery lifecycle. Advise teams on the practical application of governance standards while balancing delivery objectives and drive governance awareness and capability-building across the organisation. Compliance and Risk Management : Drive compliance with IM8 Reform for Digital Service Standards (DSS). Support project teams in identifying and addressing gaps in compliance to DSS, track remediation actions, and ensure timely closure of identified gaps. Reviews and Readiness : Review solution proposals, technical designs, and project deliverables for alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards. Establish and manage Go-Live Readiness assessments covering digital governance, testing and user experience, while facilitating governance review sessions and checkpoints throughout the project lifecycle. Reporting : Prepare management reports, governance dashboards, and progress updates for stakeholders and leadership. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Required Experience • Background in project management, digital governance, or technology delivery, with a proven track record managing ICT projects or governance initiatives. • Experience working across diverse stakeholder groups including business users, developers, architects, security teams, and vendors. • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile delivery, and compliance, audit, or operational readiness processes. Technical and Governance Knowledge • Good understanding of ICT governance frameworks including user experience principles, and risk management practices. • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles, cloud technologies, system integrations, and operational support models. • Ability to evaluate project and technical documentation from a governance and compliance perspective. Skills and Attributes • Analytical, meticulous, and structured, with strong follow-through and execution skills. • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams. • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex governance concepts into clear, practical guidance. • Able to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in project management, digital governance, or technology delivery, with a proven track record managing ICT projects or governance initiatives. • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. • Professional certifications such as PMP, CITPM, TOGAF, ITIL, or equivalent. • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint, and familiarity with front-end coding frameworks such as React, Angular, or Foundation 6. • Experience in cloud platforms, user experience, or digital transformation is an advantage.
