Service Ambassador (contract) - SPF/ Tanglin Division (E Div)

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. As a Service Ambassador, you will play a vital role in shaping a positive service experience for the public by welcoming and guiding visitors to the appropriate services that they need when they enter the Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC). You will assess the nature of their enquiries and provide step-by-step assistance for them to either use the digital services available via the self-service kiosks or refer them to the officers at the counter for follow-up. You will be placed under the management Executive Scheme. As a Service Ambassador, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors to Kampong Java NPC, Orchard NPC or Toa Payoh NPC. Your main responsibilities include (but are not limited to): a) Visitor Management • Welcome and greet visitors in a professional manner; • Listen to their queries to establish the purpose of their visit; • Direct visitors to the appropriate services using the queue management system; • Provide information on basic police services and procedures. b) Digital Service Support • Assist visitors in using the self-service kiosks by providing step-by-step assistance. c) Administrative Support • Assist with general administrative duties; • Provide counter officers with administrative and logistical support if needed. d) Data Protection • Maintain strict confidentiality of information and handle personal data in accordance with data protection requirements. REQUIREMENT • strong communication and interpersonal skills; • experience / strong resilience when dealing with challenging people; • proficiency in English and mother tongue; • fluency in dialects and other languages would be an advantage; • basic computer literacy in using Microsoft Office software or technology in general; • previous experience in customer service, policing, emergency response or government service sectors would be valuable.
